Now is the time to stock up on beach balls. I have seen them at the store for one dollar or less. The great part with beach balls is that you can customize them to use with whatever subject you want. For example, I used each section of my beach ball to ask a different reading comprehension question.
My plan is to make a beach ball with informational text questions, different math beach balls, and maybe something for science or social studies.
The way I have used beach balls is that I have students toss the ball and wherever their right index finger lands, that is the question they answer.
