Need a Break

I normally do a read aloud everyday.  My students love it.  We review so many skills with this.  I got to say, I forgot my book at home yesterday (although I could have picked over 1,000 books from my own classroom library).  I went to http://www.storylineonline.net/.  Different actors read stories.  I put on a nice, long story and gave the kids a graphic organizer to fill in.  They were mesmerized by the story.  We reviewed about 6 objectives with this activity.  It was such a hit and provided some quiet time for me.  Each little bit of quiet is a hit with me.
