Cursive Writing

In my school, it's hard to find time to teach something that is not tested.  Now that testing is completely finished, I have begun to sneak things in that aren't tested.  Something that  I think kids still need to know is how to write/read in cursive.  Therefore, we have begun to work on our writing each day.  I have begun introducing 2 letters a day since the school year is almost over.  It is the quietest part of my day!  I can't get over how focused  they are.  I figure it's worth it to give up 15 minutes in the day to have my students focused and quiet!  Plus, when they are done, they are more attentive on the next subject.
