This week was not too bad except for the scary moment when I thought our classroom would burn down. It turned out to be a problem with the ballast in the light. I have no clue what that is but I do know it smells like something is burning. Maintenance fixed it pretty quickly but the smell hung around for quite awhile. I played the game of find a spot for my class to go for a couple of hours.
On a brighter note, since my class is beginning to behave better, I thought I would try a fun Thanksgiving activity, Pumpkin Pie in a Bag. Students work together to make this. It is pretty simple to make and no cooking is involved. If you are interested in trying this, please check out
