Five for Friday - Almost Back to School

I am sort of excited that it is Friday.  It's getting to close to the start of school though.  Happy Five for Friday!

1

First Day in my Classroom - Today was the first day I was allowed back into my classroom.  I went up there with a car load (the first of many) of stuff for my classroom.  I was actually relieved.  This is the first year I don't feel so overwhelmed - there's not as much cleaning or movement of furniture.

Interviews - I sat in on a couple interviews today.  We are looking for a new third grade teacher.  I am so glad that I do not have to go through this anymore.  It's really nerve racking!  Good luck to all of you that actually have to go through this process.  My advice, be very specific with your answers.  Do not give a lot of vague answers to questions.

Cart - I had a cart that went missing last school year.  I was so excited that another teacher found it today and brought it to my classroom.  It's so nice to have it back!

Property Brothers - They are my latest obsession.  I have been binge watching their show on Netflix.

Come on, how can you not love these two guys?

Cats - Normally my kitties get along very well.  Yesterday, they had a lot of issues together.  Now they can't be around each other without hissing or trying to attack each other.  I have to keep one in my bedroom.  Any ideas of how I can get them to get along again?

I want them to be back to this!

  2. Glad you were able to get back in your classroom. I was pretty eaer to get back into mine at the end of July. And sitting in on interviews can be really interesting. I haven't done it in a while but you gave some great advice.
