My pet peeve is when students put their feet through the back of their chairs. I don't mind if they stand. I understand that students need to move. All I ask is that their feet do not go through the back of their chair due to safety.
How do I solve this problem? After school, when I have gotten completely fed up, I tape up the openings with packing tape. Imagine the students' surprise when they come in the next day. Problem solved!
