Monster Math

For the monster math, students each got a Frankenstein picture. They  got to color the pictures.  On the chest of the monster,  they had to write 3 numbers that would create a fact family.  On each arm and leg, students wrote a different problem with those numbers.  In the past, I put numbers on them. We only did addition and subtraction.  This year I had students come up with their own fact families.  I challenged my higher level students to create their iwn fact families.  The problems they created were more difficult than I ever created.
