A few years ago, a game came out where children could move and shake a canister in order to find things hidden in the rice. I decided to make my own. I found this canister at Michaels. I filled it with rice and hid small objects inside (like a penny, block, pom poms, etc.). I made a checklist so students can check off items when they find them. I figure that I can put this in a calming station for students. It will keep them occupied for a while.
